Child Consciousness.

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” asked the teacher.

“I want to be a rockstar, a chef, a pilot, a scuba diver…” said the children.

To a child, the world is limitless, boundless, and infinite. All possibilities exist absent the constraints of limitations or labels. Dreams are endless, ideas are abundant, and creativity flows freely—the world feels like a playground. In this state, anything is possible. This is what it means to exist in child consciousness—like water flowing in an endless stream, where the current of imagination, invention, and discovery is constant.

As we grow older, however, the expectations of society begin to creep in. The infinite paths we could take becomes clouded by the notion of a singular “right” path. We are told who we should be, how we should act, and what achievements are worthy of respect, measured by class, wealth, and status.

It’s as if the adult mind has been subtly conditioned to walk into an invisible room, one without doors, and lock itself in with a version of itself it believes it must be.

But existing like a child—feeling limitless—isn’t about rejecting responsibility or accountability. As adults, we are all responsible for our choices. However, adopting a playful, limitless mindset shifts how we perceive the world. When we embrace this way of being, unexpected solutions emerge, and we create beautiful expressions through art, music, and more.

What would the world look like if we all could tap into this childlike consciousness? What if we could access possibilities that reside in the unknown? Could this mindset help us solve problems, create new solutions, connect with each other more deeply, and impact the world? Perhaps.

But the deeper question is: How do we return to that state of child-like wonder?

The first step is simple: reintroduce play. This means whatever play looks like for you—whether it’s revisiting activities that brought you joy as a child, listening to your favorite songs, or watching the stories that once captivated you. Give yourself permission to play. Give yourself the freedom to step outside the rigid framework of rules and responsibilities—even if only for a moment. Slowly, you’ll rediscover what it feels like to be in that open, expansive state.

You’ll stop defining yourself by one fixed version of who you think you are, and instead, you’ll tap into the infinite potential of who you could be. It’s as if you’re a character in a video game, choosing from an array of possibilities, each one a unique expression of your potential. There are no limitations—only endless opportunities to redefine yourself.

To live in child consciousness isn’t to return to childhood, but to embody the feeling of boundless possibility. It’s to see the world with the eyes of a child, full of wonder and infinite potential. After all, aren’t we all just children, pretending to be adults?

You can be anyone you want to be—go play.
